Rubin ResidenceLocation

Rubin Residence's new-build, modern apartments are located on the beautiful Synagogue Street in Budapest, in the heart of the real, unadulterated Pest lifestyle, in the centre of the bustling life.

The history of the neighbourhood dates back to the early 1800s. Formerly known as Tabakmacher Gasser, or Tobacco Maker Street, it is one of the oldest central streets in Pest.

The street was named in the 19th century. It was here that the tobacco and snuff maker Anton Prinder lived, whose products were famous throughout the city.

Temporary restaurants, known as pop-up restaurants or supper clubs, opened in apartments and factory buildings, typically in the early 20th century. Where else could the world's first home restaurant have been born but in Hungary?

Every stone is history
Treasures of neo-Gothic, Art Nouveau and eclectic architecture can all be found on the street. The former Hungária Baths, the Continental Hotel, the Palmberger House and the Arkád Bazaar once stood here. Kálmán Mikszáth, Sándor Petőfi, Milán Füst lived here for a few years.

The apartments of the Rubin Residence offer a great location.

Everything is within arm's reach

Centrally located next to the five-star Continental Hotel, the world-famous Boscolo Hotel and Europe's largest Synagogue, the Rubin Residence offers a wealth of facilities. Restaurants, bars, cafés and breakfast bars, cinemas, theatres, museums and community spaces complete the daily life. It is truly a centre for life lovers, both locals and foreign travellers. Within a short walking distance you will find the entire city centre, St. Stephen's Basilica, Andrássy Avenue, the Hungarian National Museum and Nagymező Broadway.

You can visit the Downtown Theatre, the Uránia National Film Theatre, the Városliget, the Hungarian Theatre of Pest, the Madách Theatre. The Semmelweis University, the rebuilt Blaha Lujza Square and the Palace district are also within easy reach.

Within 20 minutes you can reach Budapest's world-famous spa resorts: the Széchenyi, Gellért and Rudas Baths.

A few minutes' walk from the Rubin Residence is the so-called "Jewish Quarter", based on the fact that since the 19th century the main centres of Budapest's Orthodox Jewry were located here: the Dohány Street Synagogue, the second largest synagogue in the world and the first in Europe, the Rumbach Synagogue and the Kazinczy Street Synagogue. At the turn of the millennium, these were used to build the ruin pubs that are still hugely popular today, such as the Szimpla, the Fogashaus, the Supply Garden and the Mazel Tov.
